About Oldfield Training

Welcome to Oldfield Training. We have been involved in the training, sporting and breeding of dogs for over 35 years. Our 100-acre farm provides the perfect setting for daycare, boarding and training and is located in the northern part of the Shenandoah Valley in Stephens City, Virginia. We are located between Winchester VA and Front Royal VA right off the I81 corridor.

We breed both Purebred Dogs and Designer Doodles. We have offered our 3-Week Board and Train Program for our own puppies for many years, and have now decided to open up our program to other puppies and dogs.

In addition, we are now offering advanced training for Emotional Support Animals and Therapy and Service Dogs. We work closely with the K-9 Caring Angels Program, an organization specializing in training psychiatric service dogs for wounded warriors.

We believe in the therapeutic advantages of a well-trained, loving dog. Research has proven that properly-trained dogs can help lower blood pressure, slow heart rates, calm anxiety and reduce the stress of their owners.

We stand committed to providing trained dogs that have been well-started in public, have great manners, and are heavily-socialized with adults, children and other animals. They have also received extensive obedience training.

Oldfield Training Clients

Our clients include all types of individuals and professionals, such as active families; couples and singles of all ages; and private business owners. Therapy dog volunteers, doctors, therapists and educational professionals are excellent candidates for our dogs. Our trained dogs are great in work settings for clients, seniors, children and people with emotional support needs.
