I wanted to give you an update on how Hope is doing. We became a certified therapy team through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. We are serving the Fire and Rescue community in Prince William County, the staff at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, and the participants, staff and volunteers at Spiritual Care Support Ministries, a grief and counseling center in Warrenton.
Thanks so much for your generosity in donating Hope. It was rough grieving the loss of my husband. But Hope was part of God's plan for my new life. Thank you for being a part of my story.

Vegas, a miniature Australian Shepherd, has been an incredible addition to our lives, bringing joy, comfort, and companionship. Our journey with Vegas began when I attended a Police Conference where I met Laurel McComas and Sonny Madsen. They were showcasing their therapy and service dogs, and it was there that I learned about their wonderful work.
Over 25 years in law enforcement including 20 years working Crimes Against Children I felt it was important to start taking care of myself as I prepared to retire.
Laurel and I connected at the conference, and she graciously offered to donate one of her dogs to me. Soon after, we visited her home, where we had the pleasure of meeting many of her dogs. My husband immediately bonded with a sweet, energetic miniature Australian Shepherd named Vegas. He turned to me and said, "we should take her."
From that moment, our adventure with Vegas started. She began her basic training with Laurel, who laid the foundational skills. After the completion of this training, Vegas moved on to Sonny Madsen at K-9 Caring Angels, where she underwent specialized training to become a full-fledged service dog.
Vegas has transformed our lives in ways we never imagined. Her presence brings an immense sense of joy and security. She is not just a service dog; she is a beloved member of our family, providing us with unwavering loyalty and love.
Thank you Laurel for bringing this joy to our lives.

I hadn't been responsible for a puppy in many years when I reached out to Kaigan Kennels about adopting a French bulldog puppy, so I was nervous and had a lot of questions. From the very beginning, I had access to a wealth of information about the adoption process and what to expect in the days, weeks, and months ahead when adopting a Frenchie.
After I made a commitment and put down my deposit, I received regular reports on the litter, and the weekly videos after the puppies were born were so important as I decided which puppy "spoke" to me. Laurel and her team were always happy to answer my questions and help me to make my decision, and today I am so happy with the choices that I made - my puppy has enriched my life beyond anything I had hoped for
We took advantage of "boot camp" before she came home, and I was amazed at how prepared my puppy was for home life. When she came home, she was already familiar with many of the common commands, she had very few "accidents" at home, and she was comfortable with her transitional crate life. I came home with a healthy, happy, and very well-adjusted puppy.
What has left the greatest impression on me about my experience with Laurel and her team is their clear love for pets and their passion about bringing puppies into the world that that will give and receive the love that they deserve. It is much more than a business at Kaigan Kennels, they are clearly committed to the welfare of their puppies throughout their lives. My puppy and I stay in touch with her family at Kaigan and I am so blessed to have found her through this amazing team.

Doodle Run feels like extended family to us. We purchased our Aussiedoodle, Mia from them 2 years ago. Their expertise and professionalism is top notch. Laurel took her time explaining everything from food choice, vaccines, Aussiedoodle personality and the list goes on. We decided to use Doodle Run for boarding as well. They send us pictures of Mia while she is there. They are quick to respond to text messages if we just wanted to know how she was. Laurel would also continue whatever training we would be doing at the time so Mia would stay on track. They always treat Mia like their own pup, which makes it 100% easier to leave her when we go on vacations. We love Doodle Run and would recommend them for purchase, training or boarding needs.
